Percy & Warren represent HUNKY JESUS
OPENING NIGHT FILM AT THE 40th ANNUAL BFI FLARE
It was a dream for Percy & Warren to be approached about a feature doc opening the British Film Institute (BFI)‘s legendary Flare Festival – about the annual Hunky Jesus festival in San Fran. And what a wild ride it’s been!
Central to the film are the Festival’s organisers the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence – some of whom we welcomed to the opening night for its World Premiere this week at BFI Flare – a global movement of drag artists and queens, the Sisters, who spread their positive messages and expiate religious inspired guilt in queer communities through activism, performance and LGBTQIA+ community support 🌈 and much more than that – watch the doc when it comes to audiences to find out more about their incredible and powerful history and campaigning.
The BFI Flare Festival opened on the 18th March 2026 at BFI Southbank, and the Percy & Warren team had the pleasure of representing opening night feature HUNKY JESUS in the run up to its world premiere.
We’ve been spreading its message of immaculate joy and advocacy through a publicity campaign, spanning news, interviews, impact comms, reviews and socials. It all culminated this week working with the British Film Institute (BFI) on the opening night world premiere.
We loved everything from helping manage the press line and red carpet to witnessing the incredible reactions in the room during the screening – not to mention, a riotous afterparty – it couldn’t have been more special.
Open to distribution conversations – please get in touch to chat all things Hunky Jesus and BFI Flare 2026.
The film is a powerful social impact feature that reminds us how to be a better person and show up for your communities, and of the power of film to impact and change.
Thank you to Director Jennifer Kroot and Producers Gerry Kim and Brian Benson you’ve made an incredible film and we can’t wait to keep working to help the rest of the world see it.
